Anime in Western culture

The west was influenced by the metalwork, architecture, printmaking, of the Japanese. while the Japanese were influenced by the western electrifying new ideas on composition colour and design.
Usually, design and art are influenced by art history not only does this help the designer to illustrate his/her work according to the reference that he/she has but results to their final work as well.
Japanese art resulted in a pop culture technique that had an impact on the Westerns. The Japanese designed based on Modern cultural elements such as television and comic books and contemporary designs.

A pop culture term, if there is any chance one wants to look cute, Kawaii is the thing for them.
It all began with fashion and small illustrations but it was spread all over the world which is still used today.
This contemporary style originated in 1970 by young females that scripted cute doodles, from that it became an influence.

Where did manga come from?
Origins. A millennium before Hokusai applied the term to a collection of his less serious works, there were "cartoonish" drawings to be found in Japan, but whether or not pictures are drawn in such a style constitute manga is a tricky question.
